Alba Triana
Alba Triana is a Colombian-born, Miami-based sound and intermedia artist and composer. Working across immersive installation, kinetic sculpture, sound, light, and digital media, she makes imperceptible forces—vibration, resonance, electromagnetism—physically and sensorially present. Her work reveals fundamental dynamics governing everything, situating humanity within a larger, active, and interconnected natural system.
Her work has received the Prix Ars Electronica (Austria), CIFO Grants & Commissions Award, ArtFields Grand Prize, South Arts Fellowship, 2018-19 Oolite Arts Residency (US), and the Civitella Ranieri Fellowship (Italy/US). Alba has presented work at Ars Electronica Festival and Lentos Kunstmuseum (Austria); Getty Foundation’s PST ART (US); 104-Paris and Biennale des Arts Numériques (France); and ISEA. Her projects have been supported by the Knight Foundation, Harpo Foundation, Kronos Quartet (US), Pro Helvetia (Switzerland), and the Colombian Ministry of Culture. Her work is held in collections including CIFO, ArtFields (US), SOLO, .NEWART, Otazu (Spain), Banco de la República, and MAMBO (Colombia).
