El capitalismo de la información se basa en la extracción de bienes materiales e información digital a través de infraestructuras transoceánicas como buques de contenedores y cables submarinos. Contraflujo muestra la topografía, buques y cables en los siete lugares de amarre de Atlantis-2, el único cable de fibra óptica que conecta Europa y Sudamérica y que sigue una ruta marítima inaugurada por los imperios coloniales español y portugués en el siglo XVI.
